Happy Ever Appster Daylilies Trophytaker Daylilies

About UsWelcome to Heritage Perennials
Heritage Perennials® is the name of our line of perennials, grown in their distinctive trademarked blue pots. We are Valleybrook Gardens, a family-owned nursery farm, one of North America's largest wholesale producers of herbaceous perennials. We grow millions of plants each season at our two facilities: Abbotsford, British Columbia (near Vancouver) and Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario (near Niagara Falls).

Although we have expanded a lot over the years, we remain passionate about plants, especially the exciting world of hardy herbaceous perennials. Our Heritage Perennials® are only sold through independent, top-quality garden centers throughout Canada and in many US states, from New England to the Pacific Northwest. We are also producers of the Jeepers Creepers™ brand of groundcovers and creepers, Trophytaker® and Happy Ever Appster® Daylilies.

John and Kelly Schroeder started Valleybrook in Abbotsford, British Columbia in 1980 and have built the business on the principles of quality, selection, market leadership and innovation, combined with a passion for perennials. Hundreds of dedicated and skilled employees work to grow and distribute our plants.

At Valleybrook Gardens we produce over 1500 varieties of containerized perennials, groundcovers, hardy ferns and ornamental grasses. In addition to independent garden centers we also sell to landscape contractors, municipalities and public gardens.
We do not sell plants by direct mail order or over our website.

Our popular book, the Heritage Perennial Gardening Guide is in its 4th edition, having now sold over 130 thousand copies. This book is written by our own Horticulturist, John Valleau, and is packed full of information about perennials, with plenty of beautiful photos to help gardeners choose and grow perennials successfully.

The next time you are buying perennials please look for our helpful labels and blue pots, and remember "The best perennials come out of the Blue" !
