Achillea ptarmica ‘Ballerina’
Double Yarrow |
USDA Zone: 2-9 |
Plant number: 1.010.150
Yarrow is an easy perennial, growing in nearly any sunny situation, even where there is poor soil. Plants form low bushy mounds of deep green ferny foliage, with button-like double white flowers in early summer. Good for cutting, fresh or dried. Inclined to spread, so site this carefully or plan to reduce the clumps each spring. Easily divided in fall or early spring. Plants may be trimmed back hard after blooming to maintain a compact habit. Heat tolerant. To dry, pick bunches immediately after flowers open, tie loosely and hang upside-down in a warm dark place.
