Aquilegia ‘Irish Elegance’
Plant number: 1.050.390
Columbines have been grown in gardens for centuries, and are among the most popular of perennials. This very old selection features interesting fluffy double white flowers, each petal tipped with green. Foliage makes a low ferny mound. Excellent for cutting. Since Columbines are relatively short lived, allow some of the plants to go to seed and self sow. Leaf miners or sawfly may disfigure leaves around flowering time. Trim off the ugly foliage and the plants will grow fresh ones. Border or woodland garden.
