Dianthus ‘Oakington’

Border Pinks

USDA Zone: 3-9

Plant number: 1.180.630

Border Pinks have been popular in gardens for centuries. This selection forms a low mound of grassy blue-green leaves. Short stems of small double carnation style flowers appear in early summer, in a soft rose-pink shade. Well suited to edging any sunny border, or for growing in the rock garden. Plants should be trimmed lightly after blooming to maintain a tight, compact mound. Not always easy to divide, but this can be attempted in spring or early fall. Evergreen.
