Heuchera ‘Sashay’
Fancy-leaf Coral Bells |
USDA Zone: 4-9 |
Plant number: 1.266.100
This selection of Hybrid Coral Bells produces a mound of deeply-cut, heavily-ruffled leaves that offer an interesting contrast in colour. Very unique with dark green on top and a burgundy underside that peeks through the many ruffled edges. Distinctive and interesting texture when placed along the edge of a border or in containers. Taller sprays of ivory bell flowers appear in late spring. May need protection from afternoon sun in regions with hot and humid summers. If plants become leggy or woody at the base, just lift them in early autumn and replant with the crowns placed lower down in the soil. An older but excellent Terra Nova Nurseries introduction, found as a sport of H. ‘Purple Petticoats’. 2001 Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit (AGM) Winner.
