Heuchera ‘Stainless Steel’
Fancy-leaf Coral Bells |
USDA Zone: 4-9 |
Plant number: 1.266.870
As a group, the Hybrid Coral Bells offer the gardener a tremendous new range of foliage colours. This selection bred by Charles and Martha Oliver of The Primrose Path is a medium-sized Coral Bells. The new growth is almost completely silver with light veining in purple. However, as the leaves mature they take on a seafoam green colour with heavier purple veining. The underside is deep eggplant purple. White flowers appear on tall chocolate coloured stems in summer. In warm regions this is best in part to full shade. Excellent in the border, for edging, or in tubs and mixed containers. Foliage should not be trimmed back in the fall, but plants may be tidied up in spring by removing any withered or tired-looking leaves. Evergreen. USPPP: unlicensed propagation prohibited.
