Hosta are among the most popular of perennials for shady areas, with hundreds of varieties now readily available. Plants form sturdy mounds of foliage, topped with lily-like blooms. This medium-sized selection has green leaves with a neat edging of light yellow. Purple flowers appear in July. A ‘Fortunei Aureomarginata’ sport selected by G. Heemskerk of the Netherlands in 1988. USPP#10661: unlicensed propagation prohibited.
