Hosta ‘Antioch’
Plant number: 1.278.030
Hosta are among the most popular of perennials for shady areas, with hundreds of varieties now readily available. They form sturdy mounds of foliage, topped with lily-like blooms. This large selection has pointy medium-green leaves with a streaky margin that begins chartreuse in spring, changing to creamy white by summer. Mauve flowers appear in July. Somewhat slug resistant. Clumps may be easily divided in the spring or fall. This older but sturdy selection traces its roots back to the 1920s.
