Leucanthemum × superbum ‘Aglaia’
Shasta Daisy |
USDA Zone: 4-9 |
Plant number: 1.316.500
(Formerly Chrysanthemum maximum) No sunny border would seem complete without the familiar presence of Shasta Daisies. This is the seldom-offered true form of ‘Aglaia', featuring frilly double white flowers with a crested or plumed white centre. Showy in the garden and excellent for cutting. Divide plants every 2 to 3 years to maintain vigour. Remove faded flowers to extend blooming. Shasta Daisy is a well-behaved garden hybrid, and should not be confused with the weedy Ox-eye Daisy (Leucanthemum vulgare). Attractive to butterflies.
