Phlox paniculata ‘Classic Cassis’
Summer Phlox |
USDA Zone: 4-9 |
Plant number: 1.416.030
Summer Phlox is very popular for its midsummer display in the sunny border. This compact selection, part of the Top Shelf series, produces large clusters of dark lavender overlapping petals surrounding a purple eye on strong stems. Attractive to butterflies. The dwarf habit makes this suitable for the front of the border or in containers. Flowering is always best in a sunny location. Good mildew resistance although Summer Phlox always benefit from a location that provides good air circulation and consistent moisture. Remove faded flowers to encourage more buds to form. From plant breeder Jan Verschoor of the Netherlands. USPPP: unlicensed propagation prohibited.
