Primula capitata Salvana™

Capitata Primrose

USDA Zone: 4-9

Plant number: 1.445.210

An unusual Asiatic Primrose selection, this requires a rich and evenly moist soil in order to succeed. It forms a low rosette of powdery grey-green leaves. Drumstick style stems rise taller, bearing clusters of violet purple-blue flowers during late spring and early summer. Perfect for a moist rock garden or in light shade beside a stream or pond. Best in cool summer regions. Plants may be carefully divided in early autumn every few years, if desired. Not always an easy species to grow. Introduced by Syngenta Flowers.
