Sempervivum ‘Lavender and Old Lace’
Hen-and-chicks |
USDA Zone: 2-9 |
Plant number: 1.489.740
One of the most familiar garden perennials, yet never lacking in appeal. These form low cushions or mounds of fleshy leaves, tiny new plants appearing in a circle around the mother in the middle. This large selection produces wide grey leaves touched with a hint of lavender-pink. Short spikes of light pink flowers in summer, though many gardeners just remove these. Award winner for its elegant form and colour. Extremely drought tolerant once established. To start more plants simply remove a small chick or two and stick them on the soil surface at a new location.
