Aster Blue Autumn

Michaelmas Daisy

USDA Zone: 4-9

Plant number: 1.084.030

(=‘Oudshoorn 1’) Also known as Fall Asters, these are favourites for autumn colour in the perennial border. Plants form bushy clumps, bearing loads of daisy flowers. This selection bears vivid, violet-blue petals surrounding a yellow eye from late summer into mid-fall. Excellent garden performance overall. Pinch plants in July to maintain a cushion effect. Great cut flower. Most asters will be troubled much less with powdery mildew, if grown in a moist, rich soil. Result of a planned breeding program by Herbert Oudshoorn of the Netherlands. USPP#17400: unlicensed propagation prohibited.
