Aster × frikartii ‘Flora’s Delight’
Hybrid Aster |
USDA Zone: 5-9 |
Plant number: 1.085.810
This is one of several hybrid Asters, or Michaelmas Daisies, with an extremely long season of bloom. It forms a bushy mound of light green leaves, bearing branching stems of lavender-blue daisy flowers beginning in mid summer and lasting through the fall. Superb as container plants, or in a well-drained sunny border. Great for cutting. Excellent resistance to powdery mildew. In regions with wet soil in winter, best success will be had growing these in a raised bed with excellent drainage. This selection is more compact than others, and should not require staking.
