Erigeron karvinskianus Blood Sea
Mexican Fleabane Daisy |
USDA Zone: 8-10 |
Plant number: 1.200.220
(='Blütenmeer') Mexican Fleabane is a terrific filler perennial for any sunny border, flowering for months on end. Plants form a low mound of grey-green leaves, bearing small white daisies that age to rose pink. Even in cold regions this will act as a self-seeding annual and bloom all season long. Superb in containers or window boxes and on rock walls. Being native to Mexico, this is well suited to regions with arid, warm summers. Seeds can be scattered into odd cracks and corners where they will germinate and grow. Attractive to butterflies. Taller than the more common selection 'Profusion', this is a better choice for edging sunny borders.
