A terrific selection of Sea Holly, valuable both for the flowers and showy foliage. This forms a midsized mound of green leaves strongly edged in creamy-yellow. Taller stems appear in summer, bearing prickly heads or umbels of steel-blue flowers. Because the flowers are sterile, this variety continues to flower for weeks on end and will also not self seed around the garden. Exceptionally good for cutting, fresh or dried. A versatile plant, fitting well into the sunny border and also useful in containers. Drought tolerant once established. Sea Holly is an easy-care perennial that adapts well to most sunny areas with average to dry soil. Remove old stems to ground level in late fall or early spring.
