Erysimum ‘Julian Orchard’
Shrubby Wallflower |
USDA Zone: 6-9 |
Plant number: 1.206.140
A shrubby, upright growing selection that does best in mild-winter regions. Handsome grey-green leaves set off the profuse clusters of fragrant flowers, in a bright pink and purple combination. Blooms can appear all winter in warm coastal areas. Plants develop a woody base and should be sheared back to 6 inches in midsummer to promote fall flowering, and maintain a compact habit. In colder winter regions this performs best as a container plant, brought indoors to a cool bright area in late fall. Drought tolerant once established. Attractive to butterflies. Evergreen.
