Filipendula vulgaris ‘Plena’

Double Dropwort

USDA Zone: 2-9

Plant number: 1.215.400

Also known as Meadowsweet. This species is much more tolerant of average to dry soils than most other forms. Plants create a low mound or rosette of finely-cut, fernlike leaves, bearing upright stems of creamy-white flowers in early summer. An interesting edging plant, also nice in the border or containers. Plants may be easily divided in spring or early fall. Remove faded flowers to tidy up the clumps for the remainder of the season.
