Helenium ‘Bruno’
Fall Helenium |
USDA Zone: 4-9 |
Plant number: 1.245.150
Also known as Helen's Flower, or Sneezeweed, there are many fine hybrid selections valued for their late summer display of bright daisy-like flowers. This variety features deep crimson-mahogany blooms. Excellent in the border, as well as for cutting. Often needs to be staked. Plants may be pinched back by half in June to reduce the height. Easily divided in early spring. Performs best when grown in a moist, rich soil and watered during summer droughts. Powdery mildew can sometimes be a problem. Attractive to butterflies.
