Leycesteria formosa ‘Jealousy’

Himalayan Honeysuckle is a woody shrub, often included in the perennial border. This seletion produces upright stems with bright chartreuse foliage. White honeysuckle flowers are held in drooping clusters of burgundy bracts, followed by showy purple berries in the fall. An amazing cut flower and in containers. Best used as a specimen shrub towards the back of a sunny border. Good deer resistance. The flowers are attractive to hummingbirds. Sometimes known in England as Pheasant Berry because pheasants are said to gobble the fruit.
