Lysimachia punctata Golden Alexander
Yellow Loosestrife |
USDA Zone: 4-9 |
Plant number: 1.340.190
(='Walgoldalex') Not to be confused with the noxious weed, Purple Loosestrife (Lythrum salicaria). An outstanding British selection, this will spread moderately to form a small patch. More refined than the typical green-leaved form, the variegated leaves remain attractive all season long, with bold margins of creamy-yellow. Spikes of starry yellow flowers contrast beautifully with the foliage. An excellent, long-lasting cut flower. Good at the waterside, the border, or in containers. USPP#13547: unlicensed propagation prohibited. Registered with COPF.
