Prunella grandiflora ‘Bella Blue’

Self-Heal

USDA Zone: 4-9

Plant number: 1.447.130

Self-Heal, also known as ‘Allheal’ was named due to its alleged medicinal properties. Most are native to Europe, Asia, North Africa and North America and may be found in common lawn seed. They are dainty, low-growing plants, members of the mint family, that are very showy in the landscape and thrive in moist soils. This selection produces masses of violet-blue flowers from June to September over dense mats of lacy, light-green leaves. Excellent as a groundcover, along pathways and in mixed containers. Attractive to butterflies. Divide clumps in spring or fall, if desired.
