Sedum ‘Red Cauli’

Autumn Stonecrop

USDA Zone: 3-9

Plant number: 1.485.740

A selection from the Netherlands, this produces a low mound of succulent blue-grey leaves. Clusters of deep cherry-red flowers appear towards late summer, lasting into the autumn before changing into brown seed heads for winter. This is one of the darkest forms yet to be developed, the closest to a true red. Promises to be a first-rate plant for edging sunny borders, in the rock garden or in containers. In very rich soil with lots of moisture this may be inclined to get floppy. Pinch or prune plants back by half in June if this occurs. Trim back to the ground in early spring.
