This Stonecrop species is an excellent edging or rock garden plant, particularly for hot, dry sites. It forms a low mound of glossy, purple-brown leaves on red stems. Rose-red, star-shaped flowers appear in late summer, clustered at the ends of each stem. Nice in a gravel scree, alpine trough or mixed container.
