Solidago sphacelata ‘Golden Fleece’
Heart-leaf Goldenrod |
USDA Zone: 4-9 |
Plant number: 1.494.080
Among the best of the garden forms of Goldenrod. This was selected a number of years ago for its outstanding display of golden-yellow flowers, held in a branching head that is quite distinct from the roadside types. Plants have a bushy, compact habit, useful as an edging in the late summer border. Stems are strong, and superb for cutting. Choose a moist, sunny area to grow this. Tolerates hot, humid climates. Goldenrod does not cause allergies, as is commonly believed. Flowers are attractive to butterflies.
