Stachys byzantina ‘Primrose Heron’
Lamb’s-ears |
USDA Zone: 3-9 |
Plant number: 1.495.090
Lamb's Ears are popular edging plants, valued for their low spreading mat of soft, felty leaves. Spikes of magenta-pink flowers appear in early summer but are often clipped off to keep the plants short and tidy. This unique selection features bright chartreuse-yellow foliage in the spring, which later fades to green. Certainly this is an unusual plant, that deserves careful placement. Consider using as an edging beneath pink or scarlet roses. Clumps may be easily divided in early spring or fall. Drought tolerant, once established.
