Tricyrtis formosana ‘Gilt Edge’
Variegated Toad-lily |
USDA Zone: 4-9 |
Plant number: 1.522.350
Toad-lilies are unique and easy perennials for growing in shady areas. Leafy, arching stems produce a fall display of bizarre star-shaped flowers, excellent for cutting. They deserve a special place where they can be appreciated up close, like beside a patio or at the edge of a bed. This selection has soft lavender-pink flowers, heavily spotted in rose-purple. The grey green foliage has a handsome streaky edging of creamy yellow. Medium sized. Beautiful in the garden but also useful for cutting. Clumps may be easily divided every 3 to 4 years, in early spring.
