Papaver nudicaule ‘Flamenco’

Iceland Poppy

USDA Zone: 2-9

Plant number: 1.401.270

Iceland Poppies are short-lived perennials that usually self-seed and come back year after year. Plants form a low tuft of light green leaves, bearing large satiny flowers for weeks on end, beginning in late spring. This strain is a European Fleuroselect winner, featuring a wide range of pastel shades, each petal edge having a frosted or picotee appearance. Good for cutting, if stems are picked just as the buds begin to open. Removing faded flowers will encourage more buds to form. Allow plants to set seed. Prefers a well-drained location, and quite drought tolerant once established.
