Rudbeckia fulgida ‘City Garden’

Dwarf Coneflower

USDA Zone: 3-9

Plant number: 1.455.010

Also called Black-eyed Susan. This is a terrific compact selection, similar in colour but shorter than the well-known ‘Goldsturm'. It forms a low mound of green leaves, bearing a long late-summer display of golden-orange daisies with a brown centre. Perfect for edging sunny borders, using in mixed containers or for massed plantings. Attractive to butterflies. Dried seedheads offer some good winter interest. Trim to the ground in early spring, but allow any green leaves at the base to remain. Easily divided in spring.
