Armeria maritima ‘Morning Star Deep Rose’

Pink Thrift

USDA Zone: 2-9

Plant number: 1.070.150

Thrift are native to seaside cliffs, and are durable perennials for most any sunny location. Plants form low cushions of grassy green leaves. This selection bears deep rose-pink pompon flowers for many weeks starting in late spring. Trim off the spent flowers to encourage repeat blooming. Good rock garden or edging plant, also excellent in alpine trough gardens. Easily increased by dividing in spring or early fall, if desired. This form was bred and introduced by Ernst Benary Seeds of Germany, developed to even flower well the first year from seed.
