(Formerly Dryopteris spinulosa) This is a very easy garden fern, native all over the northern hemisphere. Plants produce tall, bright-green fronds that are often used by florists for greenery. A good fern for massing, or using as a specimen in the woodland garden. This adapts well to moist or even wet sites. Trim old fronds back to the ground in late winter. Deciduous.
