Dryopteris filix-mas ‘Linearis Polydactyla’

Slender Crested Male Fern

USDA Zone: 4-9

Plant number: 9.030.350

An interesting, unusual form of the Male Fern. Plants are clumping in habit, the fronds are long and arching but very delicate and skeletal in appearance, despite the large size. Well suited to use in any moist, shady situation. Also useful in tubs or mixed containers, combining beautifully with bolder-leaved plants, such as Hostas or Hellebores. Deciduous in habit, remove old fronds in late fall or spring. Mulch around the plants with dead leaves in the fall, to help conserve moisture in summer.
