Helleborus × hybridus ‘Pippa’s Purple’

Lenten Rose

USDA Zone: 5-9

Plant number: 1.255.760

The Lenten Rose is an easy spring blooming perennial for the shady woodland garden. Plants produce bushy mounds of thick, leathery evergreen leaves. Flower stalks appear in early spring, bearing showy cup-shaped blooms. This selection has single, forward-facing flowers of rose-pink with burgundy random speckles and marbled foliage. Site these where they will stay for many years, since the plants resent being disturbed. Trim the old leaves to the ground in late winter before the buds emerge, to allow the flowers maximum impact. USPP#27121: unlicensed propagation prohibited. CAUTION: Harmful if eaten/Skin irritant.
