Astilbe thunbergii ‘Prof. van der Wielen’

Tall Japanese Astilbe

USDA Zone: 3-9

Plant number: 1.087.820

Astilbe are a popular choice for shady gardens, where they perform well if given a rich, moist soil and regular watering. This taller selection features huge, drooping white plumes, over a bushy mound of elegant, lacy green leaves. Also thrives in tubs, or mixed containers. Fertilize in April and June. Excellent for cutting. Seed heads may be removed, or left on the plant for winter interest. Plants should be divided every 2 to 3 years, in early spring. Will tolerate full sun, in cool summer regions.
