Agastache barberi

Hummingbird Mint

USDA Zone: 5-9

Plant number: 1.025.150

Many species of Agastache are native to North America, often in areas with hot summers and low humidity. This one forms a large, upright bush of fragrant coarse foliage, topped in summer and fall with long spikes of magenta-pink flowers that draw hummingbirds and butterflies like a magnet. Flowers are also edible, and fun to include in salads or as a garnish. May not survive well in regions with wet soils through the winter months. Terrific in the border or in mixed containers.
