Aster pringlei ‘Monte Cassino’
Michaelmas Daisy |
USDA Zone: 4-9 |
Plant number: 1.085.920
Also known as Michaelmas Daisy, this is an easy, mildew resistant selection for late season colour in the perennial border. Plants form a bushy clump of tiny leaves, bearing masses of small white daises for weeks on end. Grown commercially as a florist's flower, and excellent for cutting. Pinch plants before July to maintain a more compact habit. Attractive to butterflies. Tolerates dry soil better than most aster selections. Divide plants every two to four years to maintain vigour.
