Astilbe simplicifolia ‘Moulin Rouge’

Dwarf Astilbe

USDA Zone: 3-9

Plant number: 1.086.930

Astilbe are a popular choice for shady gardens, where they perform well if given a rich, moist soil and regular watering. This dwarf selection features fluffy, red-purple flower plumes, over a compact mound of elegant, dark burgundy-brown leaves. Also thrives in tubs, or mixed containers. Excellent for a low groundcover or edging. Nice for cutting. Seed heads may be removed, or left on the plant for winter interest. Plants should be divided every 2 to 3 years in early spring. May tolerate full sun in cool summer regions.
