Campanula medium ‘Calycanthema’
Cup-and-Saucer |
USDA Zone: 2-9 |
Plant number: 1.110.060
A double-flowered form of the old-fashioned biennial, Canterbury Bells, these deserve to be grown more often in modern gardens. Plants form a low rosette of green leaves in the first year. In the following summer, upright stems will bear loads of large dangling bells, hanging from extra petals that form the saucer. Grown in a mixture which includes shades from white, through pink, rose, blue and lavender. Stems are superb for cutting. Allow some plants to self seed, which will produce another generation for future years.
