Coreopsis lanceolata ‘Sterntaler’

Coreopsis

USDA Zone: 4-9

Plant number: 1.165.120

Also known as Tickseed, these are popular plants for long-blooming display in the summer border. This German selection has large golden-yellow flowers with a mahogany red circle in the centre. Removing faded flowers regularly will encourage blooming to continue into the fall. A medium-sized selection, excellent for borders or in containers. Plants are easily divided in early spring, and this should be done every 2 to 3 years. Tolerant of hot, humid summer climates. Attractive to butterflies. The species is native to the Eastern USA.
