Dianthus ‘Edgehog’

Variegated Cottage Pinks

USDA Zone: 3-9

Plant number: 1.181.440

Cottage Pinks or Clove Pinks have been grown in gardens for centuries. Plants form a low, grassy mound bearing upright stems of fragrant double carnation style flowers, in a mixture of colours. However this is a recent one-of-a-kind selection featuring blue-green foliage outlined with a cream margin and hot pink, semi double flowers. Stems are good for cutting. A good size for edging, or in the rock garden. Drought tolerant once established. Clip plants lightly after flowering, to maintain a tight, bushy habit. Flowers are attractive to butterflies. Sport of D. ‘Starry Night’. Evergreen. USPPP: unlicensed propagation prohibited.
