Echinacea purpurea ‘Vintage Wine’

Purple Coneflower

USDA Zone: 3-9

Plant number: 1.196.960

A distinctive selection of our native Purple Coneflower. Plants are strong and bushy in habit, ideal for borders and growing in mixed containers. Flowers have short non-drooping petals in a rich shade of deep purple-red, surrounding a central brown cone. Flowering begins in midsummer and continues for weeks if faded blooms are regularly removed. Coneflowers are sturdy and easy-care perennials that perform best in a sunny location. Flowers are very attractive to butterflies. Seed heads are useful in dried arrangements. Excellent for cutting. USPP#13893, CPBR#2672: unlicensed propagation prohibited.
