Heuchera ‘Blackbird’

Fancy-leaf Coral Bells

USDA Zone: 4-9

Plant number: 1.266.120

This hybrid Coral Bells selection is a terrific choice for adding a touch of colour towards the front of a border. The leaves are a rich charcoal-black shade, the red undersides peeking out through the ruffled edges. Sprays of creamy-pink flowers appear in late spring. Fairly sun tolerant, but protect from hot afternoon sun in warm summer regions. Remove any winter-burned leaves in the spring, otherwise no pruning is required. Clumps may benefit from being divided in the spring every 3 to 4 years. Received a Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit (2001).
