Standard Dwarf Bearded Iris

Standard Dwarf Bearded Iris have similar flowers to the more familiar Tall Bearded Iris, but on a dwarf plant that blooms much earlier. A good choice for the rock garden, or as an edging at the front of the border. Prefers a warm sunny site with good drainage. Easier to grow, and generally tougher than the Tall Bearded Irises. This selection has lovely two-tone flowers with petals of blue and white. Clumps may be easily divided every 3 to 4 years in August. Drought tolerant once established. Dwarf bearded Iris are also often described as I. pumila. CAUTION: Harmful if eaten.
