Papaver rupifragum ‘Double Tangerine Gem’

Double Spanish Poppy

USDA Zone: 6-9

Plant number: 1.401.640

This poppy is a cute little alpine plant, best suited to the rock garden or for edging a hot, sunny border. The ferny silver-blue leaves form a low tuft, with upright stems of satiny double sherbet-orange flowers appearing for many weeks. May act as a short-lived perennial, but will usually self-seed modestly. A good candidate for growing in gravel, also in containers or alpine troughs. Removing faded flowers will greatly increase the blooming season. Drought tolerant. Not a good choice for regions with humid, hot summers.
