Penstemon ‘Hidcote Pink’
Autumn Beard-tongue |
USDA Zone: 8-10 |
Plant number: 1.405.710
Hybrid Beard-tongues are the showiest varieties by far, putting on a terrific display of colour in the summer and fall months. Plants form a bushy upright clump, bearing several spikes of large trumpet flowers. Unfortunately, these are not reliably hardy and should be mulched even in mild winter areas, or treated as bedding annuals. Excellent in pots and tubs, as well as directly in the garden. This selection has medium pink flowers, streaked on the outside with creamy-white. Attractive to both butterflies and hummingbirds.
