Hybrid Peonies are valued for their colourful and often fragrant blooms, similar to Garden Peonies. Plants form an upright bush of dark green leaves that stays attractive all season. This selection is a single, Japanese-style featuring rich, scarlet-red petals surrounding a prominent centre of yellow petaloides. Prolific bloomer. Midseason/Late. Excellent for cutting. Compact habit. Easy to grow. Flowering is always best in a sunny location. Peonies seldom need to be divided or moved, but if necessary it should be carried out only in the fall. Trim off old stems to the ground in late fall, to help prevent disease problems.
