Summer Phlox is very popular for its late summer display in the border. Space well to provide good air circulation to help curb powdery mildew. The large clusters of fragrant flowers have purple petals with a white eye. Summer Phlox are superb for cutting, and may even attract passing butterflies. Remove faded flowers to encourage a second bloom. Clumps are easily divided in early spring.
