Pulmonaria rubra ‘David Ward’
Plant number: 1.449.530
Lungworts are spring-blooming perennials that have undergone a transformation in recent years, with many selections now available. This outstanding British variety forms a good-sized clump of large, bright green leaves that are heavily margined in creamy-white. Clusters of coral-pink flowers appear in early spring, among the earliest to bloom. Because of the large amount of white in the leaves, choose a site that is protected from hot afternoon sun. Leaves should be trimmed back hard in June, to rejuvenate the clump. Requires an evenly moist soil.
