Tricyrtis formosana ‘Seiryu’

Toad-lily

USDA Zone: 4-9

Plant number: 1.522.110

(Formerly known as 'Hatatogisa') Toad-lilies are unique, but easy perennials for growing in shady areas. Leafy, arching stems produce a fall display of bizarre star-shaped flowers, often marked with spots of dark purple. They deserve a special place where they can be appreciated up close, like beside a patio or at the edge of a bed. This selection features pale blue flowers, nearly turquoise at the tips, with a white centre and spots of violet. Beautiful in the garden, but also useful for cutting. Clumps may be easily divided every 3 to 4 years in early spring.
