Veronica spicata ‘Icicle’

Spike Speedwell

USDA Zone: 2-9

Plant number: 1.540.170

Spike Speedwell is the most popular of the various Veronicas available. This selection forms a bushy clump of dark-green leaves, bearing upright spikes of white flowers through the summer months. Removing faded spikes will keep plants in flower for much longer. Excellent for cutting. Clumps may be pruned hard if they get floppy. Easily divided in fall or early spring. Powdery mildew is sometimes a problem, but growing plants in a moist site will help to prevent this disease. Flowers are attractive to butterflies.
